April 5 Sermon

Title: “What Does Easter Mean For Me?”
1 Peter 1:4-5 (LB)

“God has reserved for His children the priceless gift of eternal life; it is kept in heaven for you.  And God will make sure that you get there safely to receive it because you are trusting Him.” 1 Peter 1:4-5 (LB)

I.  GOD IS IN CONTROL

Pr. 16:1 (LB)   “We may make our plans but God has the last word.”

Truth TO TAKE HOME:

o   You cannot control the events that happen to you.

o   You CAN control your reactions to things.

“God’s great power is available to help us who believe Him.  It is the same mighty power that raised Christ.” Eph. 1:20 (LBR)

“Don’t worry because I am with you.  Don’t be afraid.  I will make you strong and I will help you and I will support you.” Isa. 41:10 (NCV)

II.  HE KEEPS HIS PROMISES

“God isn’t like people.  He doesn’t change His mind.  When He says something He does it.  And when He makes a promise He keeps it.” Num. 23:19 (GWT)
